Ook ik weet sinds afgelopen juli dat ik COPD heb, al heb ik nog nooit van mijn leven gerookt! Hoe dat dan kan? Waarschijnlijk door meeroken, werd er gesteld. Dat vond ik nogal een bewering, maar ja, een andere oorzaak zou ik ook niet weten.
Als kind heb ik tuberculose gehad. Ik heb een aantal jaren in Sanatorium de Klokkenberg in Breda gelegen. Hoewel mijn longen schoon waren, heb ik zelf toch sterk de idee dat het daarvandaan moet komen. Een mens (dit mens) zit nu eenmaal zo in elkaar, dat hij/zij voor alles een verklaring wil hebben, ook als die niet altijd te geven is.
In september riakock.blogspot.com/2006_09_01_archive.html oktober riakock.blogspot.com/2006_10_01_archive.html en november riakock.blogspot.com/2006_11_01_archive.html 2006 heb ik tijdens een studie-opdracht een poging gedaan om mijn herinneringen aan die tijd boven water te krijgen. Dit is helaas niet gelukt, maar misschien moet ik daar wel blij mee zijn. Mijn gevoelens daaromtrent zijn ietwat tweeslachtig. Laatst bij mijn bezoek aan een van de boekgrrls in Amsterdam kwamen we erachter dat ook zij met tuberculose in een sanatorium heeft gelegen. In tegenstelling tot mijzelf wist ze zich nog van alles te herinneren. Dat was wel een openbaring, hoewel de verhalen die zij erover vertelde, in een totaal andere omgeving hadden plaatsgevonden.

ok.... so i've completely messed up my 365.... haven't been around my laptop, so i didn't get to do much processing. crazy weekend here in socal, with the nasty fires and all. i'm glad most people are safe, even though many have lost their homes... and thanks to all the firefighters that have put in so much work in trying to keep everything under control. i hope it will soon end, so that people can slowly rebuild what they have lost.
so my 365 is out of sync and not very good. i hope this will make up for it?
so the kid found new talent once again. i think he should be a scout for these new artists, but it's not exactly the easiest job to discover the next big thing.
anyways, this singer goes by the name singindork888 on youtube. does really good cover on a lot of songs. he also have a few original songs that is definitely worth listening to =)
